Go Green

As we work to preserve our environment for our children and grandchildren, the ARS Lafayette Home Team has the knowledge and products to lower your energy costs and reduce the negative impact on our environment when heating and cooling your home. As much as half of the energy used in your home goes to heating and cooling, so making smart decisions about your home's heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system can have a big effect on your utility bills — and your comfort.

Energy Star Rated Products
ENERGY STAR® is a U.S. government-sponsored program that helps businesses and homeowners save energy and protect the environment by giving them the information they need to make smart choices about efficiency.

An ENERGY STAR furnace can reduce your heating costs by as much as 40%.  And an ENERGY STAR air conditioner can save you up to 60% on your cooling bills. Choosing an ENERGY STAR qualified product not only makes sense economically—it also makes sense from an environmental standpoint. According to the EPA, if just one in ten households installed ENERGY STAR heating and cooling products, the change would keep more than 17 billion pounds of pollution out of the air.

ARS carries multiple lines including Amana, Bryant and Trane products that meet the ENERGY STAR standards.

Energy Tax Credit up to $1,500 Now Available!
The recently passed Economic Stimulus package (the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009) includes federal tax credits that encourage homeowners to make energy efficient improvements to their homes. Homeowners who replace older heating and cooling systems in their primary residence with energy efficient products between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2010 qualify for this tax credit of up to 30% of the cost, up to $1500.
